MBBS Abroad without NEET
Understanding NMC's NEET requirement for MBBS abroad — and the legitimate alternatives available to international students
About This Service
MBBS Abroad without NEET
As per NMC (National Medical Commission) regulations effective 2021, international students must have a valid NEET score to pursue MBBS abroad and be eligible to practice medicine in India after returning. However, the NEET requirement is a qualifying score — not a competitive cut-off. Students who appeared for NEET but did not qualify for Indian government seats can still pursue MBBS abroad. EduVed clarifies NMC rules and advises on compliant pathways.

Our Process
How It Works
Understand NMC's NEET Requirement
Since 2021, NMC requires all international students who wish to practice medicine in India after studying MBBS abroad to have passed NEET (50th percentile for general, 40th for reserved categories). This is NOT the same as getting an MBBS college seat in India.
Check Your NEET Score
The NEET qualifying score for MBBS abroad is significantly lower than the All India cutoff for government seats. Most students who appear for NEET have the qualifying score. EduVed confirms your NEET eligibility for abroad admissions.
MBBS Abroad for Low NEET Scorers
Students with NEET scores of 350–500 who missed Indian medical college cut-offs are ideal candidates for MBBS abroad. Countries like Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines, and Georgia offer NMC-approved programs for these students.
Pathways Without NEET in India (PG Route)
Students who did not write NEET but want a medical career abroad can pursue Pre-Medical programs abroad (1 year) leading into MBBS. These are primarily for students targeting career outside India. EduVed advises on these pathways.
NExT Exam Awareness
NMC is introducing the NExT (National Exit Test) to replace FMGE for all graduates including MBBS abroad students. EduVed keeps students updated on NExT requirements and preparation strategy.
NMC-Compliant MBBS Abroad Admissions
EduVed only recommends NMC-approved universities. We verify approval status before every placement and ensure your application documents comply with all NMC requirements.
