Quick Definition
An exchange program allows students to study at a partner institution abroad for one or two semesters while remaining enrolled at their home university. Credits are transferred back. Popular frameworks: Erasmus+ (Europe), bilateral university agreements. Fees are paid to the home university, not the host.
Exchange Program — Full Explanation
Indian students can access exchanges through their university's bilateral agreements or through programs like ICCR, Fulbright, DAAD, and British Council. Exchange programs are not the same as applying fresh — you remain enrolled at your Indian university while studying abroad.
